It may be that there is something lingering in the app, keeping the date settings in the options for the date picker a tad too long. I tried doing like in Frank's video, setting it a couple of years in the future, and I got the same result as he did, also when it went back to today. I think the default in the app is set to show the actual date of the day it's opened. Not 2026 or anything fancy like that, just today's.
