![]() It is important to take care of ourselves mentally. It is normal for us to have feelings of anxiety, fatigue, stress, hopelessness, and fear. Pandemic Fatigue – We have all reached a bit of a mental health breaking point when it comes to the pandemic. We have to have this information in order to contact trace and ensure the safety of all our students. We are receiving notifications from teachers that students are e-learning due to illness or exposure. You may also notify attendance, if you are calling them in sick. Parents, Due to the increasing covid-19 numbers in our county, we are asking you to PLEASE notify our health team if your child has been exposed to covid-19 or has symptoms of illness. I encourage everyone to continue to support your student and to build on the strong values that make Skyview Middle School such a special place. Second quarter is a very busy time of year for students and families. Their continued support and dedication to the Skyview community is greatly appreciated. They also worked closely with the members of the 140th Ops Groups and 120th Fighter Squadron from Airburst Range to donate and build picnic tables for staff and students to enjoy some fresh air during the day. Student Council has done an amazing job coordinating with our staff Wellness Team to provide a second water bottle filler. From studying ratios to exploring eclipses in an inflatable planetarium, student learning continues to be at the forefront of our focus at SMS. Please continue to communicate with teachers if you have further questions or need additional support.ĭespite having a limited number of returning students, Skyview Middle School continues to be an extremely busy place. I highly encourage you to monitor your students progress through Schoology and PowerSchool. Course content is increasing and it is imperative for students to keep up with their school work. I cannot emphasize enough the importance of students' engagement in both synchronous and asynchronous learning. Although we are starting to see cooler weather, I hope that students' studies are starting to heat up. Students are not allowed to leave campus and will remain on site for the duration of the party.It’s hard to believe that we are in the month of November. The party will be happening in the cafeteria, gym, and outdoor undercover areas at Skyview. Do we get to walk around the grounds at Skyview Middle School, or leave campus?Ī. We highly encourage carpooling because of the limited parking. Adult volunteers/chaperones will be on hand to help assist students. Be sure to make arrangements to meet your student. Students will be checked in by volunteers. Students will be released promptly at 10:00pm. Students will need to arrange their own transportation to and from the venue. How do students get to and from the party?Ī. Small purses/bags and cell phones are permitted. Large bags and backpacks are not permitted. Money is not necessary as there will be nothing available for purchase. ![]() What do I bring to the party? Do I need to bring money?Ī. Just remember that this is a special night and should feel that way. Go for it! Some kids may feel more comfortable selecting a nice outfit from their closet - and that's fine too. Kids are invited to come as they are, but this is also the first time for many kids to pick out a special dress or their first collared shirt. There will be a several food stations followed by music, dancing, entertainment, a photo booth, a showing of The Greatest Showman, and games.Ī. What will there be to do at this party?Ī. Food stations, dessert, dancing, and entertainment. What does the price of the ticket include?Ī. Register online and purchase ticket (or request scholarship) Link to online registration. Scholarships are available by contacting. On May 27, ticket prices will increase to $45. Tickets are $35 if purchased on or before May 26 at midnight. Also, only parents/guardians who are volunteering will be allowed at the actual event and must have completed the NSD level 1 background to be approved. This is a singles group event – dates are not needed. This is meant to be a memorable finale to your student’s years at Skyview. The event is for Skyview 8th graders ONLY.
